Belgrade for a Day: Where to Eat

I loved Belgrade. There seemed to be a new story to tell around every corner. As for the food, you won’t be stuck for good options. You will find it hard to come by anything GM or processed here – almost everything is home-grown.

Here are my suggestions:

Lunch by the River Sava: Comunale Caffe e Cucina
An Italian menu with slight Serbian influences (don’t let that put you off!). You can be guaranteed a satisfying meal in this bustling and upcoming environment.

Essential Ice Cream break: Moritz Ice
Flavours just a tasty and they are trendy. This is not one to be missed.

I went for Balsamic Strawberry with White Chocolate. Yum.

Dinner in an inner-city tavern: Mala Fabrika
I would not recommend leaving without taking the chance to taste food from a real Serbian kitchen. This tavern will be at the top of my list when next in the city.
